Bandits have killed three soldiers in a gun battle in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State. Two bandits were also killed and their bodies have been recovered from the scene of the incident.
This disclosure was made by Governor Abubakar Bello in Minna, the state capital, shortly after a security meeting with heads of security agencies in the state.
Governor Bello told reporters that already, the bodies of soldiers and bandits have been recovered.
The state’s Chief Executive noted that the security forces are working tirelessly to address the challenges, especially in communities that have been attacked by bandits and Boko Haram.
He explained that the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, from the 25 communities attacked by bandits, have been transported back to their communities, as normalcy is gradually returning.
