Bandits have killed 15 persons in Makara, Layi Kuta District of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State. They were said to have stormed Makara Village in large numbers.
The gunmen were also said to have set ablaze food stores before leaving the village.
A source told reporters that they cannot ascertain the number of persons abducted by the gunmen.
DSP Wasiu Abiodun, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, could not be reached for comments on the incident.
