Bandits attack over 100 communities in Shiroro since 2015

Over 100 communities in Allawa District of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State have been attacked by bandits from the year 2015.

About 200 million Naira have been paid in ransom from 2015 to 2017.

A community member of Allawa, Jibrin Allawa disclosed this during a press conference in Minna, the Niger State capital.

Banditry attacks began in Allawa in 2015. The community is one of the eight political wards in the Lakpma axis of the Shiroro Local Government Area.

More than 120 lives have been lost as of 2017, as the figures kept growing. Representatives of the Allawa community are seeking to get the response of their elected political leaders on their plights.

Jibrin Allawa expressed fears that bandits will continue to invade Allawa and Gyara Miya communities. The Allawa community members are hoping that adequate measures should be put in place to address the plights of the communities on the Lakpma axis of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
