The former Vice President of Nigeria and PDP’s flagbearer for the 2019 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has donated the sum of ten million naira (#10m) to the Nigerian Amputee Football team as a financial support towards their 2018 World Cup.
The team has been plagued by financial challenges as it prepares to participate at the world stage. It will be recalled that the NFF led Amaju Pinnick administration also donated #6m to the team about two weeks ago.
The 2018 Amputee Football World Cup is hosted by Mexico and is scheduled to run from October 24th to November 14th. The Nigerian Amputee Football team have been drawn in Group E where they will face El Salvador, Brazil, and Russia.
