countries suspend astrazeneca vaccinations

The European Union Medicine Regulators has disclosed that it has to date not been able to establish any links of blood clot complications with the AstraZeneca vaccines and suggests the complications as mere coincidences.

This comes after several countries continue to withdraw from using the vaccines after some persons suffered blot clots and a few died from similar related complications.

Even though the probe is yet to be concluded, the European Medicines Agency has disclosed that the benefits of the vaccine far outweigh the disadvantages or side effects.

Some countries have decided to await the findings from the WHO before making their informed decisions, even though the EMA has attributed the blood clot scenarios to coincidences, similar occurrences have not occurred during the administration of other vaccines.

The current batches under speculation were manufactured in Europe and do not currently affect the vaccines manufactured in India and South Korea currently distributed under the COVAX scheme for poorer countries.
