Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Asian countries play a key role in the world becoming “truly multipolar”.
Putin made the remarks at the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) summit in the Kazakh capital, Astana.
He is expected to hold a raft of bilateral meetings, including with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Qatari emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
