ASAP Rocky to perform in Sweden despite suspended sentence ruling

ASAP Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers has pleaded not guilty in a trial that involved the American Celebrity with some people who were maliciously following him and warned to stop but refused.

Today charges were read out against A$AP Rocky and his team by a Swedish prosecutor Daniel Suneson. According to him, the victim claimed he was hit and stabbed with a glass or broken bottle while he laid on the floor, however, the police were unable to find any fingerprints on the bottle to support the victim’s claims.

The celebrity had been detained for close to a month despite President Trump’s involvement in the case who vouched to guarantee his bail. Trump had later in very usual fashion taken to Twitter to react to the frustration. Read below –

“Give A$AP Rocky his FREEDOM. We do so much for Sweden but it doesn’t seem to work the other way around. Sweden should focus on its real crime problem!”

In response, The Swedish Prime Minister’s spokesperson Mikael Lindström responded that the Government is not allowed to interfere in legal proceedings within the Country.

A$AP Rocky’s lawyer continued to maintain that his client committed no crime but if the celebrity is convicted, he stands to face a 2-year jail term.

Many of the celebrity’s fans and other celebrity alike have rallied around to request his release physically and online using the “JusticeForRocky” hashtag.
