Jonathan Ive, popularly called Jony Ive, arguably the world’s most famous industrial designer will be closing the curtain on his 20-year sojourn at Apple.
Jony the brains behind the Mac, iPod and iPhone can arguably be described as a major catalyst to the breakthrough of Apple in global markets.
Jony will leave to set up his own creative business, LoveFrom with Apple as its first client when the business launches officially in 2020 and will be based in California.
Theree are no hard feelings as Jony claimed that despite leaving the giant corporation he would still be very much involved with the company for many years to come.
Apple must feel the same as the giant corporation has failed to replace Jony’s role and will have the Design team report directly to operations going forward.
