Apple and Qualcomm decide to Bury the Hatchet

Apple and Qualcomm have decided to end the ongoing litigation against each other after 2 years of legal battles.

The CEO’s of both Companies were expected to meet in court over what seemed to be an issue bordering on Qualcomm’s ‘unfair’ charge on all kinds of phones since they own the patent to most of the basics most modern phones are built upon.

Apple sought to challenge them in court making a case that Qualcomm was earning a variable sum of money that was based on the price the company placed on the product as opposed to a fixed price.

At this writing, the duo have struck a six-year license agreeement and a multi year chip supply agreement, also Apple is expected to pay Qualcomm an undisclosed sum as settlement fee.
