The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has pointed out the failure of the All Progressives Congress, APC-led government to deliver on the critical areas of the economy and security it promised Nigerians, which is reason enough to be voted out, come 2023.

He further explained that rather than contain the Boko Haram menace which was the only security challenge at the time the country’s insecurity concerns have multiplied into herder attacks, kidnapping, and banditry since the APC government took over power.

It was indeed a bumper harvest for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, which is the main political party in the state when a former senatorial candidate of the APC along with thousands dumped their party for the PDP.

The leader of the party, Governor Ortom along with other political leaders was glad by these new additions.

The former Chairman of the State Internal Revenue Board contested against the Senator representing Benue North-East senatorial district and former Governor of the state, Gabriel Suswam, in the last general election.

Earlier, another candidate of the APC was at the Government House in Makurdi where he equally disclosed plans to defect.
