APC, Cross River Govt. Trade Blames Over Destruction Of Campaign Bill Boards

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Cross River State has accused the state government and its agents for destroying it’s governorship candidate’s campaign billboards.

The party made the allegation through its acting Chairman, John Ochala, while  speaking with journalists in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The opposition party said it will no longer tolerate the infringement on its rights, it alleged that the state Government has been intimidated by the emergence of  its governorship standard bearer .

According to the party, if such pulling down of the billboards continues, it would stage a state-wide protest to pull the PDP governorship candidate’s billboards down across the state.

In its reaction, the State Government, through the Commissioner for Information, Rosemary Archibong said every one must pay the prescribed fees of signage agency in line with the laws of the state no matter how highly placed.

The APC also called on the  security agencies to provide equal opportunity for political parties as full political campaigns are about to commence.

PDP Accuses APC Of Intimidating Its Members With Security Agents

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Bauchi State has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, of using the Nigeria Police against his supporters.

The party made the accusation when some of its supporters were arrested at the party’s campaign office at Inkil area of Bauchi metropolis, a development which the party described as unfortunate.

In a swift reaction, the APC Chairman in Bauchi, Uba Nana, denied the allegation.

Leaders of the two political parties have,  however, advised their supporters to be law abiding as electioneering campaign kicks off.
