Amotekun arrests 18 criminal suspects in Ondo state

The Ondo State security network, Amotekun, has arrested 18 suspects for different crimes ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, and internet fraud.

One of the suspects, Samuel Akpan, was alleged to have Kidnapped a four-year-old boy with the intention of selling him for 200, 000 Naira.

The suspects were arrested in different parts of the state for different crimes ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, and internet fraud during the current operation clean up exercise launched by the Amotekun Corps.

One of the suspects, Samuel Akpan, confessed to having kidnapped a four-year-old boy with the intention of selling him for 200, 000 naira.

Commander of Amotekun in Ondo State, Adetunji Adeleye, while briefing reporters said the corps will continue to collaborate with other sister security agencies to reduce the rate of crime in the state.

Adeleye said the suspects will soon be arraigned in court after the conclusion of investigations.

Items recovered from the suspects include guns, cars, and other ammunitions.
