The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who is also the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has expressed satisfaction on the election process, as he called on the voters to comply with the guidelines for the voting process.
Akeredolu stated this after casting his vote at his polling unit in Ijebu 2, Ward 5, Unit 6 in Owo Local Government.
Voting started at about 8:55 am at the polling unit as a result of the early downpour which prevented voters from coming out.
But since the process began, it has been orderly and peaceful, as voters substantially complied with the COVID-19 protocols.
At about 9:48 am, the governor along with his wife came to cast his vote.
He urged the voters to continue to ensure a peaceful process as well as ensure that their votes count.
There has so far not been any complaints of card reader malfunctioning at the unit.
