Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, has described as unacceptable the nullification of the governorship candidacy of Senator Aisha Dahiru-Binani for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State. She Called on President Muhammadu Buhari and Aisha Buhari to intervene in the matter which she says are internal, Dame Tallen maintained that Nigerian women will continue to advocate “until Binani’s mandate is restored.
Recall that the Federal High Court 1 sitting in Yola, Adamawa, had voided the APC governorship primary election in the State. According to Justice A.M Anka who gave the ruling, APC has no governorship candidate for the 2023 elections because it did not comply with the party guidelines and the constitution during the primary.
