Airlines defy nlc strike
Airlines at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) of the Lagos Airport, boarded passengers who had already checked in despite efforts of Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) officials to prevent them.
The NLC officials were at the departures hall early today to stop officials of at least two airlines, from operating.
Despite this, the airlines proceeded and announced the boarding of their first flights for Abuja and Jos.
Prior to this, the NLC officials took control of the airlines’ counters while singing solidarity songs.
The airlines then put on hold the check-in process but carried on with the boarding of checked-in passengers.
