African Union in talks with Madagascar over COVID-Organics Cure

The African Union stated that they are in conversation with Madagascar over the traditional plant (COVID- Organics) the country claim as an herbal cure for the pandemic disease.

On Sunday, the African Union in a statement made known that it was in contact with Madagascar’s capital, Antananarivo through its Addis Ababa Embassy in a bid to gather data about the efficiency and safety of the medicine. Following this, the African Union and Malagasy diplomats held a meeting in Addis Ababa.

Subsequently, after adequate data have been gathered, AU would review the scientific data gathered on the efficiency and safety of the herbal cure through Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. This review will rely on world technical and ethical norms to gather adequate evidence concerning the efficiency of the drug.

Also, the World Health Organization had previously warned against people raising their hopes on herbs as a cure for coronavirus when it is yet to be scientifically proven or gone through a thorough test.

The President of Madagascar made known in his last address that the nation is building companies to increase the production of the medicine.

He also stated that the COVID-Organic cure is to undergo clinical trials. Aside from the drinks, Madagascar looking to start producing injections also. A number of African countries already show interest in the herbal cure.
