The Adamawa State Government has declared a councilor wanted on allegations of cattle rustling.

The councillor, Makana Ngari, represents Vulpi Ward in Numan Local Government Area of the State.

He is suspected of involvement in illegal deals and cattle rustling which is a violation of his oath of office.

The action is coming at a time the State Government appears to have succeeded in securing peace in the area after incessant attacks on villages along the borders of Adamawa and Taraba States.

The State Government warned that it will not hesitate to deal with anyone found wanting no matter his position.

A statement made available by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri through his Press Secretary further appealed to both herders and farmers not to take the law into their hands, but allow the law to take its course as government is doing everything possible to ensure that peace prevails and the safety of all law abiding citizens is guaranteed.
