Twelve days after the abduction of a pregnant woman in Birshi Fulani in Bauchi State North East Nigeria, the victim has been finally regained her freedom after paying ransom of 1.5 million Naira.
The victim’s husband, Surajodeen Abiodun, confirmed the development to reporters.
According to him, his wife’s abductors, after paying the said amount, promised to free the victim Sunday night, but failed until today.
The victim was said to have been freed and dropped close to their neighboring community.
He said so far, arrangements have been concluded by the family to take the victim to a hospital for medical checkup to ascertain the level of her health status.
