The Monday sit-at-home order in South Eastern Nigeria ordered by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, has in no small measure affected business in the region.

However, last Monday’s sit-at-home witnessed partial compliance following a statement credited to the IPOB asking people to go about their normal businesses.

The sit-at-home order by the IPOB seems to be coming to an end. The directive was to pressurize the Federal Government to release its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, from the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS.

As the tension eases off, some residents of Owerri, the Imo State capital reacted to the directive and its impact on businesses. They also want the government to address issues that necessitated the sit-at-home.

It is expected that normalcy will return to the South East for the people to continue with their lawful engagements.
