Jean-Pierre Adams who fell into a coma after a misapplication of anesthesia during a knee surgery has now passed away after 39 years in a coma. Jean-Pierre Adams was 73 years old at the time of his passing.
The incident which was as a result of entrusting him into the hands of a trainee led to the accident – a cardiac arrest and brain damage. The trainee and anesthetist responsible for the incident were suspended for one month and fined 750 euros each
He won several games for the France National team and also played for Paris St-Germain during his years of active football.
For close to 40 years, his wife, Bernadette Adams continued to care for Jean-Pierre Adams. She also claims the hospital never showed remorse for the uneventful which changed the course of their lives forever.
