The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is making efforts to bring back its members who dumped the party in the run-up to the 2019 elections.

Chairman of the state’s chapter of the party’s Reconciliatory Committee, Kawu Baraje, said the move is to ensure its erstwhile bigwigs are on board to displace the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2023.

Baraje, who was a Chairman of the PDP at the national level, said grievances will be addressed.

He said an aggressive reconciliation has already commenced ensuring notable politicians who dumped the PDP in 2019 such as the former Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Prof AbdulRaheem Oba, a current member of the House of Representatives, AbdulGaniyu Cook-Olododo, Moshood Mustapha, Saliu Mustapha, and Yinka Aluko, among others return.

The Kwara PDP under the leadership of former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, was trounced by the APC in the last general elections.
