Ahead of tomorrow’s opening ceremony of the 21TH National Sports Festival taking place at the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba , the Governor of Delta state and the vice presidential candidate for the People’s Democratic Party , Ifeanyi Okowa , says the State is ready to host over one thousand athletes across the nation.
He made this known today during the inspection of new facilities built for the games.
A total of 11, 000 athletes will participate at the festival , which is about 2,000 more than the number that participated at the last edition held in Edo State , the games will end on the 10th of December with the closing ceremony .
