Disha Ravi, India’s Fridays for Future organizer and a college student at Mount Carmel in Bengaluru has been charged with sedition.

Disha, a 22-year-old, was arrested for creating and sharing a Toolkit Document that Greta Thunberg has explained is a document that helps anyone not familiar with the ongoing protest in India a bird’s eye view so they can form their own opinions. She is currently being investigated by law enforcement.

The toolkit iterated steps to take to show support for the Indian farmers which include Tweeting support for the Indian farmers iwith the necessary hashtags; reach out to government officials to take action, and sign online petitions amongst others.

The Indian Government has frowned heavily on the interference by international communities, recently they also cautioned Twitter, the microblogging app, on obeying Indian Laws after not fully complying with deleting 1000 accounts the government claimed violated the laws

Rihanna also received some backlash from the Indian government after quoting a BBC article on Twitter on the crisis with pointers from the Toolkit
