Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has warned the military against interfering in the forthcoming general elections, slated for February 16 and March 2, 2019.

He also told the police, the State Security Service, SSS, and other security agencies to be neutral during the polls.

Atiku gave the warning on Tuesday in Jalingo, Taraba State during the PDP presidential rally.

His warning comes on the heels of a massive redeployment of senior military officers across the nation barely two weeks to the presidential election.

Atiku stated that the military’s role should be to defend and protect the country, not to terrorise persons and states that the President dislikes.
