Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, says he would ensure that he makes public schools in the state attractive to parents, students, and pupils through investments that will change the fortunes of education in the state.

Governor Bello gave the assurance at the finals of the quiz and spelling bee competitions organized by his Chief of Staff, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku, through his educational foundation held at the Glass House of the Kogi State Government House Lokoja

The Kogi State Governor is a product of public education from primary to tertiary level and according to him, public schools remain the best, only if adequate investment is made to make them attractive in the face of competing private schools.

Impressed with the efforts of giving back to society by his Chief of Staff through this quiz competition, Bello said his administration will do all that is required to make public schools attractive.

He announced incentives that the education sector will benefit, come 2022 through increased budgetary allocation.

Parents, as usual, had some sigh of relief as the Governor assured of safer schools in the state.

The initiator of the competition, Asuku, who was impressed with the students’ performance, boosted public schools in Kogi state.
