Unilorin, Nigerian Army Sign Pact to produce ballistic composites

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Unilorin, Professor Abdulkareem Age, says the institution has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nigerian Army to support research development of ballistic composites and promotion of local content development.

Age disclosed this during a press briefing to mark the commencement of the 2019/2020 Convocation of the institution in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

According to Professor Age, the MOU signed with the Nigerian Army is one of the greatest achievements of the institution in the outgoing 2019/2020 academic session with the assurance that the institution will also produce military bulletproof vests and other materials via room temperature rheology.

Similarly, Age maintained that the institution emerged as one of the 20 universities that produced the most employed graduates in Nigeria.

Age assured Nigerians that the university will continue to engage in innovative research that could change the world.
