Vincent Obodo, now 81 years old has been reunited with his family after 50 years he was declared missing. He was the former head of security to President Milton Obote (deceased).
Until his sudden reappearance, his family last saw him in January 1971. Family and friends alike wept for joy as Mr Obodo was led home with the help of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNCHR).
Mr Obodo who claimed he was overthrown by Idi-Amin led forces at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya while awaiting the then president returning from a commonwealth visit from Singapore.
Vincent Obodo claimed he had lived in exile for the past 50 years in Tanzania.
