Two suspects have been charged at a magistrate court for a fatal shooting targeted at Uganda’s Transport Minister, Edward Katumba Wamala, that left him severely injured and took the lives of his daughter and driver,.
The two, a 38-year-old motorcyclist and 46 year old herbalist, earlier this month allegedly sprayed the vehicle of the Transport Minister with bullets leading to the death of his audley and child.
Wamala, was saved by an unknown tricycle rider, and thereafter taken to a hospital whom he extended his gratitude to publicly after the stunt by his assailants.
President Yoweri Museveni had vowed to bring the culprits to justice at the time of the incident.
The two are bound to remain in custody until their next appearance in court slated for August 3.
