Tiwatope Savage a.k.a Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress, announced the terrible news on her Instagram page, @tiwasavage. She stated that he has had a difficult couple of years, but that he is now resting.
She wrote in the early hours of this morning that her father passed away peacefully and that he fought until the very end.

Meanwhile, condolence messages poured in from her fans and colleagues in the entertainment sphere on her social media pages.
Alex Ekubo consoled her to be strong her father is in a better place.
Denolagrey expressed empathy with her for her loss, and encouraged her that God is on her side, she should maintain her fortitude while he sends her lots of love.

Tiwa Savage’s debut studio album, titled once upon a time was published in 2013. Seven singles were published to support the debut album.
She has had a fulfilling music career filled with multiple awards such as the Headies 2014, her album was selected for Best of the Year and Best R&B/Pop Album. Her album was also shortlisted as the Best in the Nigeria Entertainment Industry.
She has a slew of other popular songs and Joint Grammy nominations.
