Three-Time World Cup Winner, Laura Marsh retires from Cricket

Laura Marsh, three-time World Cup winner has officially dropped her cricket bats. The 33-year-old retired from international responsibilities last year December.

While making the announcement on social media, the world cup winner said following the cancellation of “The Hundred” she feels the time is right to hang up her boots.

She made her debut in 2006 at the age of 14 as a seamer, for England national team, before switching to spin and made 217 international career wickets, making her the most successful spinner in the history of English women’s cricket, and England’s third-highest wicket-taker in one-day internationals.

The spinner who played for Kent and Sussex in county cricket has thanked both counties for their involvement on her career.

Marsh was on the winning side at the World T20 in 2009 and was victorious on the world stage as England won the World Cup on home soil in 2017 once more.
