Brandon Nakashima and Jiri Lehecka will square off in the Next Gen ATP Finals after both players showed grit as they advanced through their semi-finals on Friday (November 11).
Nakashima added to his clean sheet with a 4-3(6) 1-4 4-2 4-3(5) win over Brit Jack Draper after going 3-0 in the round-robin stage at the start of the tournament.
The American hammered 29 winners to overpower Draper in just over an hour and a half.
Nakashima lost in the semi-finals in his only other appearance in Milan last season.
Earlier, Lehecka took four sets to send Swiss Dominic Stricker packing with a 4-1 4-3(4) 2-4 4-1 win.
The 21-year-old Czech was 2-1 in the round-robin stage and was on fire on Friday, smacking 21 winners to earn his spot in Saturday’s (November 12) final.
