Elon Musk is set to displace the human drivers in some markets next year as the robo taxis will debut in 2020.
The robo taxis, according to Musk will be priced considerably cheaper than Uber or Lyft.
Elon Musk gave this prediction on Tuesday after a two-hour briefing to investors by the tech team with focus on the self-driving microchips.
He says it would be like buying a horse as you could buy a Tesla, use the phone app to connect to the network and have it drive around to pick its own customers when you’re not using it.
