Newly sworn-in President, Samia Suluhu Hassan has announced that her predecessor, John Magufuli would be laid to rest next week Thursday on the 25th of March in his village, Chato.
The government disclosed that Magufuli passed away from heart complications at a hospital in Dar es Salaam amidst claims by the opposition that he died of COVID-19. The virus he terribly refused to acknowledge in his lifetime.
Mugufuli’s remains will be taken to the Uhuru stadium for lying-in-state where the populace will be able to view on Sunday and the State capital in Dodoma on Monday, a public holiday.
Another viewing will take place at the Mwanza town before his final burial takes place.
Tanzania has been in mourning since the fearless leader passed on.
