Sudan has paid the sum of $335 million to the United States to compensate the victims of the 1998 bombings of the American Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

The bombings and the offensive in Yemen in 2000 were executed by the al-Qaeda terrorist group.

The United States had earlier accused Sudan of being complicit to the crimes, however the recent developments aim at restoring the broken relationship between the capital of both nations

The United States Secretary of States, Anthony Blinken confirmed the development.
