Six political parties have formed a coalition against Bauchi State Governor, Muhammed Abubakar, ahead of the March 2, 2019, governorship election.
The coalition said the parties are coming together to defeat the incumbent governor because of his lack of performance in the last four years in the state.
The coalition, which comprises the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and five other political parties in Bauchi State, is led by Bello Kirfi.
The coalition is, however, yet to come up with a consensus candidate.
The coalition may have been triggered by the recent defection of two former governors of the state, Isa Yuguda and Ahmed Muazu and former National Deputy Chairman Babayo Gamawa from the PDP to the ruling APC.
