Shatta Wale, a prominent Ghanaian dancehall musician, is being sought by the Ghana Police Service after he was reportedly shot by unidentified gunmen. The reggae singer was allegedly shot in Ghana’s East Legon, according to multiple online reports.
Furthermore, the artist’s manager, Nana Dope, confirmed that the singer is alive and has been transported to a hospital’s emergency room.
“Thanks to all those phoning to check up,” Dope wrote on his social media site. The king is still being treated in the emergency room. The assailants are still running. Ghana police are to be commended.”
According to a statement posted on Facebook by the Ghana Police Service, they are working to locate the multi-award-winning musician. “Police investigate charges of a shooting incident involving Shatta Wale,” the statement reads. “The attention of the Police has been drawn to the widely spread story on the alleged gunshot-attack on Charles Nii Armah Mensah commonly known as Shatta Wale.”
The authorities have initiated an inquiry into the case after receiving the report, which includes making contact with some of his close friends and family members, all of whom claim to be unaware of his location or the alleged occurrence. Shatta Wale’s house was raided, but he was nowhere to be found.
