Rwanda’s flag carrier airline disclosed this week a deal with Tanzania. RwandAir to fly cargo from Tanzania’s Mwanza International Airport to Brussels the capital of Belgium.

RwandAir via its twitter page on Tuesday made known that their airline would be flying ship into Europe from Tanzania. RwandAir chief executive officer, Yvonne Makolo stated that the airline has been having conversations with Tanzania in transporting Tanzania’s fishes to the European market.

Makolo stated that the airline is flying fresh produce from Kigali and fish from Mwanza. This deal is to help provide relief for Lake Zone fish traders who have been looking at other ways to make their fish available abroad.

They initially use Entebbe and Nairobi airports which is not cost-effective. Since the outbreak of the pandemic disease that has impacted global travel, RwandaAir now cargo flights to four countries which include Brussels and China.
