Activities at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH, were completely paralysed on Friday with hundreds of patients left unattended to and unable to access medical care following a nationwide strike embarked on by the Association of Resident Doctors in the State.

The usually busy hospital was a shadow of itself with patients left stranded when reporters visited.

Management of the hospital was, however, putting efforts in place to fill the vacuum left behind by the doctors.
