Workers in 67 Research and Allied Institutions in Nigerian Universities and Hospitals have begun strike from midnight Wednesday as threatened.

The Spokesman of the Joint and Allied Institutions Sector Unions, JORAISU, Peters Adeyemi, said that the action has become inevitable because the government has remained adamant about implementing a 10-year-old agreement with the researchers.
