Opposition activist, Oumar Sylla also popularly known as Fonikè Mengué has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for organizing a protest against the sitting president of Guinea, Alpha Condé.
Sylla was found guilty of illegal assembling and the spread of false information.
Condé who is currently serving his third term as president is 83 years of age defined the two-term limit for presidents and his re-election generated some strong sentiments leading to the death of many.
