Parisians are totally over their lockdown lifestyle and can’t wait to return to normalcy. Several hundreds were seen at the banks of the River Seine. Several individuals disclosed that the new lockdowns expected to stay in place for close to a month is stifling.

Only essential businesses have been allowed to open and Parisians are allowed to go out but within a 10-kilometre radius from their homes with permission. Except for a select few exceptions such as medical assistance or any reason of such gravity.

Over 6000 policemen have also been deployed to ensure compliance with the new directives. Residents who spoke to a reuters correspondent shared why the Seine was a place of choice. Read below:

I’m here to get some air, to enjoy the sun, because we’re not hamsters, we’re not rats, we can’t just stay hiding in our holes,” 29-year-old parisian Ersin said.
