Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa, will need to wait for two more games to achieve a century of caps for the national team.

Despite the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF celebration of Musa’s 100th cap for Nigeria, the football house through its Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, on Wednesday, stated that the NFF has deferred to FIFA’s record of 98 caps for the former Kano Pillars player due to the nullification of two matches he played in by the World Football Governing Body.

The two games ruled out by FIFA are the 2017 friendly between Nigeria and Togo in Paris because more than six substitutions were made in the game and the World Cup qualifier against Algeria in Constantine which the Super Eagles lost due to the fielding of an ineligible player.

The Eagles Skipper will have another opportunity in October’s home and away games against the Central Africa Republic to clock 100 caps for the national team.
