The Zamfara State Government has suspended two traditional rulers from office for allegedly violating its directive not to sell Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), in jerricans.
The two traditional rulers are the Senior District Heads of Birnin Magaji Local Government, Aliyu Shehu- Maishanu and that of Kayan Maradun Local Government, Bello Maiwurno.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Bello Dankande, announced the suspension while briefing newsmen on the efforts being by the State Government to eradicate the activities of armed bandits.
The State Government also directed the suspended District Heads to submit themselves to the state command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps for investigation.
