The Independence Day Parade yesterday at the Eagle Square turned out to be a huge success, however, the absence of the Senate President Bukola Saraki could not be overlooked as both Past and present dignitaries graced the event to commemorate with Nigeria on her 58th Independence.
According to the Senate President, he claimed to be out of the Capital to attend to other Political Assignments in a bid to cinch the Presidential ticket of PDP. He further explained that the Gubernatorial Primary Election of Kogi State held yesterday and required his Presence.
The question playing on our lips is what could be of more importance to Nigerians than our Independence?
