A flood situation has rendered many homeless who reside in the Sagbama LGA of Bayelsa state.
The State Commissioner for Information, Mr Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said the state is still assessing the level of damage incurred at the flooded areas.
He disclosed that the state is in dire need of support from the FG as the number of communities affected by the flood is on the increase.
He further said that the FG project of setting up a flood response team is laudable as the flood alert saved the day.
The commissioner, however, expressed concerns as the state is yet to receive its own share of the flood intervention fund.
