Road users on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway were on Sunday evening practically trapped in a traffic jam.
The bottleneck which was observed on both lanes of the expressway was due to the bad state of the road.
This was made worse by the rains which had been consistent for at least three days.
The logjam was further worsened by some motorists from the Ifo-Abeokuta end who drove in the wrong direction against traffic causing more obstructions.
No traffic or law enforcement officers were seen at the location as drivers did their best to navigate with much difficulty.
