The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State is currently holding a primary to elect a replacement for a late member of the House of Representative, Funke Adedoyin.
The Independent National Electoral Commision (INEC) has fixed November 18, for the election in the Irepodun/Ekiti constituency.
She was appointed minister of state for health by former President Olusegun Obasanjo during his second term between 2003 and 2007 and was amongst a host of All Progressives Congress lawmakers who joined the Peoples Democratic Party in a mass defection earlier this year.
She died on September 26th after a protracted battle with Cancer.
