IMN dismisses Claims by Nigerian Army

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria has dismissed claims by the Nigerian Army its protesters are armed and a threat to society.

The group while also dismissing threats by Security Operatives of a clampdown on its members says it will not stop its protests until its demands are met.

A spokesman of the group Sheikh Abdullahi Zango while speaking to Newsmen in Abuja accused the Army of a campaign of falsehood on the sect, in an attempt to justify the unprovoked killing of its members and turn the public against the Sect.

 

The Shi’ites have been protesting for the release of their head El Zakzaky and have been involved in clashes with the Nigerian Army on many Occasions
