Fifa bans club from signing players for two transfer windows

Fifa has banned the North London club, Chelsea from signing players for the next two transfers windows.

This announcement was made by the football world governing body, FIFA.

The North London club have been fined £400, 000, and the Football Association has also been fined 510,000 Swiss francs.

FIFA placed a ban on Chelsea for breaching rules in relation to youth players but the ban does not prevent the release of players.

However, the ban does not affect Chelsea’s women’s and futsal teams.

The Premier League club can appeal against the world governing body’s decision.

This ban comes following a FIFA investigation into the Blues’ signing of foreign under-18 players, including former striker Bertrand Traore.
