From March 28, last year, Chad embarked on a social media-less journey and have been successful thus far as it has hit the 300 day mark. The move began shortly after a tense political period which brought about some constitutional changes in chad.
Chad is not the only African Country to have resisted social media however they are leading in the shutdown of Social media, with Cameroon towing right after them, South Sudan, Zimbabwe and DR Congo have recently followed suit.
The shutdown started due to overt demonstrations against the government at the time however the prolonged ban on social media platforms
